I actually love Watermelon Wombat dog mashup shirt . how bland and unpoetic foreign language song lyrics always sound when translated directly to English. I wonder if the same is true otherways, like if you translated Total Eclipse of the Heart to Japanese it would read like “Previously I formed romantic relationships. Currently, things aren’t going as well for me. A lunar event occurs in the aorta.” well that’s because most lyrics are bland and silly. you are my fire! my one desire! I think people just think other cultures are deeper because they think western culture is shallow.

My step dad told me pink pajamas penguins on the bottom were the lyrics when I was a kid. I believed him for years. You’re the first person in my life who understands this.
