I grew up with just a single Dad I was once willing to give my life for what I believed this country stood for shirt . and I am really thankful he did not openly date women in front of me. I grew up with a man who stood strong on his own, and  I saw healthy relationships from other people; grandparents, my friends’ parents, other family members. I’m now in a healthy, loving marriage.On the flip side, I have seen in my friends’ lives and in the lives of students, when a parent is single and dating, if they don’t commit and settle down, and  they just keep bringing new people into the house, the child never finds trust in the new adult, they only see them as temporary. It would be great if every single parent remarried while the child is young, and actually stayed committed to them, but I’ve just seen how the parent dating can be really painful to the child.

You’re right I was once willing to give my life for what I believed this country stood for shirt . But I whine up staying single until my kids got 18 bc I didn’t want to spend time wondering if the person was going to fulfill being that step parent of  Step parents not always the answer. I probably was over protective bc my grandma instilled in my brain don’t trust nobody with your kids. No spending the night NO where. Now they grown and fine and I am too.I don’t think he ”need” anything else than what he has right now. He has a good, loving parent who will be there to guide him through his early life years of  What else do you really ”need” as a kid? As a father this and as a mother that, as a Person you should bestow on the next generation to be respectful to everyone and everything, not take comforts for granted and try to give them tools to dare to dream big.
